The Thule 477 Short Roof Adapter is one component of a complete roof rack base system and works in combination with the Thule 400XT Aero car rack by making it adaptable to certain cars with 2 doors, and other hard to fit vehicles with short roof lines.
The Thule 477 Short Roof line Adaptor integrates with the Thule 400XT Aero roof rack system to extend the cross bar spread up to 28 inches between the front and rear load bars. This increase allows you to then safely mount any Thule roof mount gear carriers onto the rack bars.
